Medical Facilities, Personnal And Services

A jobsite based industrial medical facility reduces high medical costs by properly caring for injuries, effectively minimizing doctor cases and controlling lost time injuries. Computerized medical records provide management with statistical injury analysis along with comprehensive medical records maintained for OSHA and Worker's Compensation.

I.S.H., Inc. provides a centralized medical facility available to all contractors that is stocked with over thirty thousand dollars of equipment and supplies. This facility is staffed by state or nationally certified medical personnel (R.N., Paramedic, or EMT) and is ready only days after a client's request. All equipment and staff exceed OSHA regulations. Medical practices meet with physician approval following treatment protocols. The cost of this facility is shared equally by the contractors allowing every worker the finest on site medical services available including:

  1. FIRST AID TREATMENT OF MINOR INJURIES AND ILLNESSES - a centrally located facility stocked with the necessary equipment and supplies will be on site and staffed by qualified medical personnel. It will handle the day-to-day minor medical complaints of workers and report all potentially hazardous situations to safety personnel.

  2. EMERGENCY RESPONSE TO FIELD EMERGENCIES - A vehicle is maintained on site containing emergency response equipment (e.g., backboards, trauma kit, etc.). This will arrive at the scene with equipment necessary to treat injuries and package the patient for transport.

  3. DOCTOR CASE FOLLOW UP - A medical network is established with local doctors and hospitals so all employees receive proper treatment. Communication between jobsite medical personnel and the doctor is essential to controlling Lost Time Cases.

  4. COMPUTERIZED RECORD KEEPING - Retrieval and compilation of information is accurate. Fast and easily managed through the introduction of the on-line service of occupational health data management. Quantitative data establishes patterns and trends so that problem areas can be addressed. Incident rates are maintained allowing Management to gauge jobsite safety performance against projected goals. Safety Performance Measurements of this kind are an essential tool in any safety program. They are used to motivate everyone to attain safety objectives and maximize program effectiveness. Clients will be granted limited rights to access (read-only) their own companies' data. Information available will be items such as drug screen results, pulmonary function test, respirator medical qualification results and audiometric exam results, just to name a few.

  5. ON-SITE MEDICAL SURVEILLANCE TESTING - OSHA guidelines for respiratory protection require respiratory physicals certified by a physician, pulmonary function testing is provided as a diagnostic tool thus providing the physician a more comprehensive exam.
